Welcome to the wonderful world of missions and the enlargement of the Kingdom of God. We are Missionaries, Mack and Marilyn Locklear, serving our Lord in the Parish of Trelawny in the communities of Martha Brae, Zion, Hague and Jones Town. We have been on the island for fourteen years and in our present location for ten years.
We have been winning souls in this location since 2001. Our main goal is to reach folks for Christ. We have six Sunday school classes, Morning and Evening Worship Services and Wednesday night Prayer Meeting. On Tuesday evening we have Bible Study and once a month on Thursday evening we have Ladies Meeting. From time to time we have a Discipleship Program teaching the basis things a Christian should know. On Friday night we meet with our Youth and Saturday is visitation and soul winning and choir practice.
We work along side of the schools in our community in that we feed 68 little children a the Martha Brae Basic School ten months out of year, five days a week.
We have a Sponsor a Child to School Program where one can send a child to school for a year with $150.00 U.S.
We train and work along side of a National Pastor which has been ordained by the Riverside Baptist Church in March 2009.
During these last ten years we have been clearing land and building, starting with a church building which has an auditorium, three Sunday school classes, kitchen, dining area and bath. In 2004 we built the Hobgood House where we live on the property and we can house 26 people other than ourselves. Since 2004 we have been hosting church and school groups from America. This has been and blessing to us as well as a blessing to those who visit and serve with us. In 2006 we built bath houses, mixed and poured a driveway on the property and built a pork pit for outdoor cooking.
In 2010 Mrs. Mack and I bought a 48 foot trailer and container and brought in 48,000 pounds of tracts, school books, Bibles, school desk, windows, doors, refrigerators, televisions, blankets, 200 new dress shirts for men, new shirts and pants and ties for men, 368 boxes of clothes which we gave 68 boxes to those in need in Haiti, etc. to help those in need on the island.
This year we have screened the auditorium and Bro. Pat Lawrence’s group have built and painted us 30 pews for the auditorium and in February we broke ground for the Noah’s Ark (A refuge for Kids) Children’s Home of Jamaica in memory of 7 year old Cole Puryear.
