In December of the year 2010, Dr. Ralph Jenkins of Tennessee, Bro. Danny Mulkey of Rome Georgia and myself Mack Locklear were in Martha Brae, Trelawny in Jamaica. My wife, Marilyn Lovett Locklear, and myself have been missionaries to Jamaica for fifteen year. Marilyn and I had been talking about starting a Children's Home here. That night our prayers and dreams were answered. Bro. Mulkey said, " He and his wife Robin had always wanted to start or be a part of a ministry that was envolved in working with children."  Dr. Jenkins said, "He wanted to be a part and would help raise the money for the building to house the kids." This year 2011 the dream will be full circle. We can house at the present time twenty boys and twenty girls. Wow! What a blessing! Imagine 20 kids to raise in the Lord, training them to be good upstanding citizens. Maybe reaching their own people "The Jamaicans for the Lord".

You are all a very special part of The Riverside Baptist Church in Martha Brae, Jamaica and the future of Noah's Ark Children's Home.  We may not live in the same place but we have a spiritual bond that binds us together in love.

This Work is of the Lord!  We have really been busy working on the children's home.  Our men here at the church and in the community have worked many long, hard hours getting the building ready for the roof to be put on the last week of January 2011 by a group of 5 men from the Eastanallee Baptist Church in Riceville, Tennessee, Jamie Moore from the Rome Baptist Temple, Joe Walker from West Virginia, and Danny Mulkey from Rome, Georgia, and, of course, about 14 Jamaicans.

We are now busy again rough casting and rendering the walls so the next groups can begin to paint the walls.

This work is not about us.  It is only under our watch care.

Mrs. Mack and I will give generously and sacrificially, but we cannot do it alone.  We are asking you to join us and be a part of the miracle of finishing the children's home in 2011.  We have children waiting for a home.

We count it a priviledge to give and our hope is that we will hear from you right away.  We have asked that 150 people give $200.00 and we could finish the construction of the building.

Thanks to all of you who have already responded and we eagerly await hearing from others.

We are a 501C non-profit organization and your gift is tax deductible.  Please send your check to The Hour of Grace, Inc., P.O. Box 1445, Rome, Georgia 30162-1445 marked children's home in the left hand corner.
